Since completing my Bio-Engineer environmental sciences studies, I’ve now been working for half a year at Contec as a Junior Automation Engineer. As I hadn’t had a lot of experience with automation this was not a logical step, but that just made learning about it even more of a challenge. During the first month, with sufficient supervision, I was allowed to find out for myself how the basis worked. After that I got the chance to work on larger projects, and make my own contribution to the team. On site I was able to see the result of our work straight away. Soon afterwards I was allowed to help see through my first small project from beginning to end. Of course colleagues gave me the necessary assistance. The work is very varied. With each project I discover new companies, meet new people and encounter different points of view, so I can expand my own outlook and learn a huge amount over a short period of time
